A Haitian-American Leader in Healthcare: Amilia Alcema's Story of Passion and Service
Amilia Alcema is a powerful example of how resilience, determination, and a deep love for people and one's community can create a life of purpose and positive impact. Orphaned at a young age in Haiti, Alcema arrived in the United States at the age of 16. Despite facing challenges due to her immigration status, she persevered and obtained her education, becoming a licensed nursing home administrator, eventually earning two bachelor degrees and an MBA.
